Electrolux has successfully been applying innovative ideas to the vacuum cleaners it produces. The company seriously views the feedback and suggestions provided by the users. For long it has remained wishful thinking of people to have the benefits of an upright machine and that of a canister into one single machine. Electrolux has answered that with the introduction of its Intensity upright vacuum cleaner.

Upright vacuum cleaners provide more power than canisters. You may know that the pressure of any fluid keeps dropping as it travels along a given length. In case of upright cleaners the length of tubing from brush to dust is much shorter than in the case of alternate designs of a cleaner. In the case of Intensity it is amazingly short-just 3". This design reportedly improves the suction power by as much as fifty percent.  As in the case of Electrolux Oxygen 3 vacuum cleaner, Intensity too is provided with a12-amp motor.

With a reduced length of the tubing and vent, Intensity could be housed in a smaller casing.

Getting rid of a lot of the tubing and vents has also meant that the Intensity's casing could be made smaller. The small casing then joins with a bi-fold handle thereby requiring less storage when not in use. A 'wish-bone' kind of the handle design may not be a very pretty sight but the purpose of having a compact storage coupled with powerful performance is definitely achieved.

The Electrolux Intensity vacuum cleaner is provided with 21 feet long retractable power cord. That's a very popular length with most of the uprights and suffices the purpose. A HEPA filter is used in Intensity that weighs only 16 lbs.

There are a few limitations with the Electrolux Intensity vacuum. Because of the foldable handle there is an additional handle provided at the top the motor to facilitate its portability but this makes it somewhat difficult and to some extent limits cleaning beneath low furniture. No cleaning attachments are offered. Users are happy about its suction power but wish they were provided with a hose to approach those not so convenient places. Its worthiness is identified as a floor cleaner.

A very major complaint of this model is the size of the dust bag, which is designed for only 1 quart as compared to 2 quarts of the Electrolux Oxygen 3 vacuum cleaner. That calls for changing of the bag a bit too frequently and its expense cannot be ignored.

But, then it is not possible to accommodate all the features like a powerful motor, onboard tools and a compact size but a big bag on the same machine. The priorities of design were different here: compactness and power
As far as quality is concerned, The Electrolux Intensity is a first class vacuum cleaner. It's an excellent upright floor machine that may be folded and kept in a small place. If you are looking for performance and convenient storage, go ahead with Intensity but if you are looking a host of other versatile features, it is not for you.

I received new Electrolux Oxygen vacuum as a "fun" gift from a friend of mine who had received a "100 coupon off" when she purchased her Electrolux, so she decided to treat me with this surprise.

When I first received it, I will admit I stuck it in the upstairs closet and left it there. It looked too awkward to use, and besides I had two other vacuums already. But when one of the vacuum's had an accident, something to do with steps and sleepy husband, I got to use my new vacuum for the first time. (to clean up the mess he made with the other vacuum, plants and a large pile of wet soil)

I was quite pleased with the performance of the Pet Lover. But only for the landing and the hallways, it was too heavy and awkward for me to use on steps, though I did try a couple times before I dug out my little dusty buster.

I keep my Electrolux Oxygen upstairs and only use in those bedrooms, tv room and hallways. I found that it is easier to keep this model upstairs for usage then trying to drag it down the steps.

Features I appreciate:

Washable cleanstream exhaust filter (HEPA H12): to clean this, you can pull apart and wash with sudsy warm water and let air dry, or use a tubal cloth and wipe down throughly
Speed control
Max Watt 1600W Very quiet Long cord Extra turbo nozzle

Antibacterial dustbags
:Only problem is purchasing new ones, ordering from website was recommended to me from friend, I have not had to order one yet though
Backsaver for tubes, nozzles, handles

It picks up soil excellent and it gets the corners where the cat has laid, no more hairballs in the crevices. I have used it on the bathroom floor also (non-carpet) and it works great with pet hair.

Excellent choice if your in the market for a new heavy duty vacuum. It is expensive, but the cost meets the quality.

I would recommend practicing with this vacuum before you use it for large jobs. Because of new awkward model, it is unlike conventional vacuums. But all in all, Electrolux Oxygen Pet Lover vacuum is a great buy.

After having my last two vacuums die unceremonious deaths, I decided to do a little more research in buying a vacuum than usual. I checked consumer, and epinions for reports on the latest canister vacuums. I tried out my neighbors vacuums to see if they met my needs, and ultimately decided on the Electrolux Oxygen 3.

I am not sorry! This vacuum is fantastic. The bare floor attachment in larger than most making the task of vacuuming easier. However, it still manages to fit into all of my smaller areas (between toilet and tub). It is also more narrow than most I have tried. Because of this, I was able to vacuum in between my banister poles, leaving me one less job to do.

This attachment, along with the telescoping pole, did a terrific job getting under my couches, beds, and dressers, with the exception of one of my daughter's rooms where there isn't much clearance. Furthermore, I decided to give it a go on my blinds. It did a terrific job removing the dust from the 2 1/2 slats.

I then switched out for the motorized head and was very impressed with the power it had for carpeting. I actually found myself being pulled along by it. I used on my berber, and area rugs.
Electrolux Oxygen 3 did a great job cleaning them both. Fantastically, the power head plugs right into the handle to make cleaning my stairs a breeze. It took a little getting used to, but I think it did a better job than my last vacuum with a special stairs attachment.

The canister itself is better than others I have worked with. It moved effortlessly. I did not find it was crashing into walls or getting caught up on furniture. It was extremely quiet as well. I found the cord length to be sufficient (I have quite a large house and didn't have change outlets anymore often than with other vacuums) and the extra length on the hose made cleaning higher items easier.

I love the controls on the handle as well. The buttons controlling the power, type of vacuuming and on/off switch were easy to use.

I had no problems with changing out the heads. However, I have not been able to work the space saving storage option of hooking the head onto the canister body. This is not such an issue as I have the space to store it without utilizing this feature.

Bottom line:
Electrolux Oxygen 3 is a great machine. I recommend spending the money, and getting a machine that will do a great job and last.

For any vaccuum cleaner to survive in a  house full of dirt, it has to be durable, strong, not-complaining things that is prepared for complete disrespect and general overwork. I think that Electrolux Cyclone was something like that. Especially with a retail price of nearly twice that I expect an average vacuum cleaner would have.  Lets us start with Electrolux Cyclone review.

The moment my Electrolux Cyclone arrived I twigged that it was going to be a self assembly job - the box was far too compact to include a vacuum suitable for anyone over four foot! However the instruction manual was reasonably understandable and after a few minor mishaps my vacuum stood in all it's glory before me.

First impressions with the Cyclone were mixed. Being of a sensible disposition I had researched, probably like you are doing now!, my potential purchase before parting with my hard earned cash. One of the main criticisms that came up over and over again were that this vacuum has a tendency to topple. I ignored this because my previous vaccuums had always toppled ( mainly due to having short hoses!! ) However this vaccuum has a very generous hose and actually topples just for the hell of it! It looks unstable and is and whilst you soon learn not to get down on your hands and knees in front of it when using the extension hose it is nevertheless an annoying feature.

There are a few other minor design flaws worth pointing out. The hook for the vacuum lead is too tight - mine has already sheared the cable slightly. Also when removing and replacing the dust cartridge you need to have the lead unwound as otherwise it catches. I've also found that when vacuuming I catch my leg on the side of the cleaner - I have no idea why!!! ( as far as I'm aware my legs aren't on the plump side!! )

On the positive side this cleaner really does clean! When my vaccuum arrived I had already cleaned the evening before and by way of experiment ran it around to see if it picked anything up - the cartridge as full within seconds!!!! Strangely though this cleaner seems to miss obvious bits of fluff and just pick up the stuff invisible to the eye! The attachments are comprehensive and useful - though not all are on board and have to be stored elsewhere.

On the whole I'm quite content with my Electrloux Cyclone 1498 review. It's attractive to look at whilst being essentially sturdy. The wide track feature makes cleaning large areas quick and easy - though edge to edge cleaning is not so good. This vacuum is a bit of a mixed bag but if you manage to locate one at around the $90 mark then I'm sure you will be quite content with it. If you are intending paying the RRP however I would look elsewhere. As far as I'm concerned there are better vacuums on offer at the $180 mark.

For those who want a lightweight, cordless vacuum cleaner that can also operate as a handheld device when needed, the Electrolux Pronto could be the solution. However, like all other Electrolux models, it doesn't come cheap. What follows are some pros and cons to help you decide if the Pronto stick vacuum is for you.

Many want a vacuum cleaner that is small and lightweight. The reason can be that they live in a small apartment and don't really need a conventional canister or upright, or they want a second one for localized cleaning. Stick vacuum cleaners are great for cleaning small spaces or localized areas and you also get the added benefit that they are cordless, which gives greater freedom to move about the home.

Electrolux is a long established electronics company manufacturing household appliances. Their appliances are extremely well-known and have a good reputation. When one talks of stick vacuum cleaner the Electrolux Pronto Bagless Stick is a brand leader. However, it is probably the most expensive stick model on the market, so before you buy you should be sure that it is best suited for you needs.

What's good about the Electrolux EL1000A2 Pronto Bagless Stick Vacuum Cleaner?

The Pronto does look fantastic; it has curvy lines, smooth surfaces and a truly modern look that surpass other cheaper, older-style stick units. The handle; the stick; the release buttons that release the hand held unit; the hand unit itself; and the design of the floor head have all been designed with thought and attention to detail.

Whilst not being the lightest on the market - the Eureka 166DX weighs 3.6 lbs - the Electrolux Pronto is still pretty light, at just 5.5 lbs.

It has great cleaning power, mainly because it has a 9.5 V motor - the Eureka only having a 6.5 V motor. It has two power settings; high and low.

It also comes with a HEPA filter; most other brands, including the Eureka, don't.

There are actually three ways to empty the dust cup. You can detach the cup and empty straight into the trash; you can open little 32mm keyhole at the bottom of the dust cup and attach a hose of another vacuum cleaner to extract the dust; you can remove the hand-held and open another opening.

What's bad about the Electrolux EL1000A2 Pronto Bagless Stick Vacuum Cleaner?

It is pretty poor at cleaning carpets, but this is also true of all stick units.

When using the hand-held unit, you have to continuously press down the power button; very tiring after 5 minutes or so.

The head is on a flexible hose to angle around obstacles when in use. However, this means it can't stand up on its own at all. It instantly falls over. If I have to put it down for any reason - you can't even prop it against a wall as it will slide down - I have to pick it up of the floor.

The dust cup is small. The capacity of the Pronto is 0.3 quarts whereas the Eureka 166DX vacuum cleaner has a capacity of twice that.

The Pronto is certainly very stylish and modern. Like all appliances it isn't perfect but Electrolux can probably feel justified in believing that the Pronto offers the best functionality, power and versatility of any stick vacuum cleaner on the market.

Electrolux vacuums are not advertised like some other brands, but they are with us for quite a while. And in that long period they managed to offer all sorts of vacuum cleaners that can be used for any type of dirt and stains in our home. Let us see what exactly Electrolux vacuums offer to us.

All types of vacuums can be find within Electrolux products, handheld, uprightsm baggless, you name it. In case you want to protect yourself from all sorts of allergens, then you need a powerful canister vacuum, and Electrolux has one fro you. Also, HEPA vacuums will help you to reduce the dirt present in your home and prevent bacteria from developing and causing you to sneeze, get cold and breath fresh air.

If you or someone from your family is sensitive to noise, there is a great vacuum cleaner called Harmony that could save you the troubles. It has insulated motor that works on a lower frequency, which is great for low noise operation. Plus, there is a nozzle that is designed that way to release only a part of regular vacuum noise. This is great for anyone who wants to have peace and quiet in the home and that don't want to be disturbed.

Another Electrolux vacuum that shows versatility is Pronto. It's a stick vacuum that eats everything in its way. And it can transform into a hand held vacuum cleaner that can reach all the dirt areas in your house.

If you are a SF kind of person, you probably think about the vacuum cleaners that do all the business by themselves. OK, maybe not all the time, but occasionally. The Trilobite is an automatic vacuum cleaner from Electrolux that does all the cleaning by himself. He will learn how the furniture is positioned in your home and where he has to go to clean all the dirt. He has a map and follows it to the details, never missing a spot to clean. You can program him to clean while you are at work and never ever have to hear him working. Convenient, huh? Yup, it's one of a kind vacuum that Electrolux has.

It's not just the Trilobite, but all the other units  are guilty for making a great reputation for this company. Electrolux vacuum cleaners are among best on the market right now and this is what plenty of consumers will confirm.

Electrolux vacuums have a long and interesting history, which tells us a lot about their reputation and image. These cleaners are one of the most durable appliances and this can be confirmed by many people who inherited the vacuums from their parents. I think that the great proof of quality and durability is a vacuum cleaner that is being used for 30 years. I guess it doesn't get better then that.

Electrolux started their production is Sweden, some 90 years ago. They had good reputation in Europe and were having a success as a company. Ten years after that, the production of vacuums was started in Dallas, under the same name. Just few years ago the Sweden Electrolux payed the Texas company to change their name to Aerus. They accepted the proposal and now Aerus is providing North American market with Electrolux vacuums under two names.

They way they sell vacuums hasn't changed much. Like Kirby, they still like to offer their products to the people one on one. This means, walking door to door and showing how their vacuums work and how much beneficial they really are. You got to admit that is a great advantage over the other manufacturers, since this is the perfect way to communicate with the consumers and show what they products are really capable of.

You can also find Electrolux vacuums in independently owned franchise stores. Right now, there are about five hundred Aerus dealers in the North America. Of course, you can always find their products online, via stores such as Amazon and Ebay or going directly to the Aerus website.

I can recommend you to check out Electrolux canister vacuums, UltraLux 2000 to be more exact. It is also called Lux Classic and it's among popular models from Aerus. You will see the power of this cleaner, it lasts for years and years without failing you. If you really want a quality vacuum cleaner, go for this Electrolux model.
